Our Story
Ali and Anna have both traveled to Africa and love this continent. The Mongoose is a good omen if you have one near your home because they eat snakes – even the deadly ones like the cobra. The Mongoose is also super cute (think Meerkat Manor) and they live in community groups where each one has a role in helping the community to thrive. Using the name Mongoose for our store doesn’t pigeonhole us into a category – we are free to offer to our customers all kinds of different things from shoes to chandeliers. And finally – and this clinched it for us – when you have a group of lion together, they are called a pride. Likewise, a group of monkeys are called a troop and so on. Each animal functioning as a community has a group name. Do you know what a group of Mongoose are called?
